JR Hunting Newsletter #07 (2020)
Hey folks!
Welcome to the last JR Hunting Newsletter for 2020!
What a kick in crotch this year has been for the international travel and hunting industry! Our personal liberty and freedom to move around and to explore the world in search of exciting hunting adventures has been heavily restricted. This has left us uncertain as to when we will be able to again reconnect and visit our friends in different parts of the world.
We did however manage to get some hunting done and took one of our clients for a mountain lion and bobcat hunt in British Columbia at the start of the year. It was great to catch up with many of you at the hunting conventions in the US before the China Virus grabbed a hold of the world and many countries started issuing travel restrictions and lock-downs very much limiting our ability to travel and hunt.
Throughout the spring I hunted coyotes, black bear as well as sage rats with Kristy in Oregon before I had to go back to Sweden to begin scouting for our upcoming roebuck hunts. During the summer and Kristy’s first visit to Sweden, we connected with a couple of wild boar out in the crop fields at night, whilst scouting for roebucks and setting stands during the day.
When Kristy returned to Sweden for her second visit, we had a great week hunting the two bucks that we had been following since the summer. Both Kristy and I each managed to take a trophy buck. It was truly an awesome hunt and unforgettable time spent together. You can watch some footage from our roebuck hunts on Kristy’s Pursue The Wild YouTube channel.

When Kristy returned for her third visit to Sweden, we visited one of our clients’ leases, and she managed to take two bacon & sausage size porkers as well as a beautiful red fox.
During the fall some of our US clients travelled domestically and successfully hunted for elk and bison. Furthermore, some countries on the African continent opened up their borders and welcomed back international travellers, giving hunters the opportunity to again head out on safari. I just recently concluded a much needed trip to South Africa where I accompanied a few plains game hunts to get some great new footage as well as catch up with old friends around the camp fire where we made exciting plans for next season!

THANK YOU ALL FOR A GREAT TIME!

Remember that now is as good a time as any to look into your future hunting adventures. The spots for 2021 and 2022 are filling up quickly due to many hunts from 2020 having to be rescheduled to 2021 placing an even greater demand on the remaining openings. So make sure that you do not miss out! Please feel free to browse our website for some more inspiration regarding your future hunting trips!
We would like to thank all of our trusting clients for their loyalty and understanding considering the challenges that 2020 has had in store. It has been a really frustrating year for all of us, but we remain confident that we will be able to hunt with you again soon!
MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
See you guys in the bush!
