Hi folks!

Welcome to the third JR Hunting Newsletter of 2020!

As international travel restrictions are lifting hunters once again can resume travel to select destinations in order to pursue their quest for exciting hunting adventures abroad. Namibia for example has been welcoming foreign hunters back to their beautiful country since mid September. South Africa is supposed to open up for international visitors from certain countries again starting October 1st. For those of you still not able to escape the lock-downs or travel restrictions forced upon you, there are, depending on the country, a variety of domestic hunting opportunities available. We have experienced a big increase in the demand for domestic hunting possibilities during these uncertain times.

SWEDEN – Roebuck Hunts

Once again we have had a great roebuck season in Sweden and were able to harvest some really nice bucks with our clients. Our roebuck hunts over the last few years have been very successful and have produced some great memories. We always have a lot of fun chasing them sneaky little critters; definitely one of our favorite hunts to guide clients on and they never fail to produce beautiful trophies! USA – Deer, Elk, Pronghorn & Bison Hunts

We have some great hunting opportunities available for you in central as well as parts of the western US where we hunt for whitetail, elk, mule deer, bison and pronghorn! Some of these hunts also offer the possibility to hunt for coyotes along with the main species. NORTH AMERICA – Moose Hunts

SCI – First For Hunters & Outfitters

During these weird times of travel bans and lockdowns, it is important to not forget the crucial work that still needs to be done on a continuous basis by local outfitters, guides, landowners, game wardens as well as hunting organisations and lobbyist. This is a combined effort that can and should never rest, because it protects our right to harvest of the land and our freedom to enjoy the great outdoors. While one has not been able to travel as much as one normally would, there is plenty of work that needs to be done locally. We have been keeping busy with managing the wild pig numbers on our hunting lease in Sweden, helping the local farmers and landowners to avoid crop damage on their fields. Make sure to support Safari Club International by joining your local SCI chapter in order to get involved in their tremendous effort to protect our freedom to hunt and to promote wildlife conservation worldwide.

BRITISH COLUMBIA – Black Bear Hunts

Our areas in British Columbia have in the past produced some great bears during the spring hunting season with trophy quality being 6.5 foot or better. We have also been able to harvest a good number of color phase black bears on our spring hunts. We are now also offering very successful and action-packed HOUND HUNTS FOR BIG BEARS! Come join us in beautiful terrain with healthy bear populations and many sightings during your spring bear adventure. There are still a few spots available for May/June next spring, so make sure to let us know if you are interested!

Engagement Announcement

Yes, you did read that right! WE GOT ENGAGED! For those of you who are not following us on social media, I just wanted to let you all know as well, that the love of my life let me put a ring on it. During Kristy’s roebuck hunt in Sweden, I figured it would be the perfect moment for me to ask her to be best friends for life. And she said YES! It was perfect, just us. Doing exactly what we love. Here is to a lifetime of adventures together!
